The first inhabitants of Herceg Novi – Illyrians were replaced by Greeks in V century BC. The romans, which in 476 AD were replaced by Byzantines, left significant mark on the architecture of the city.
Bosnian king Tvrtko was the founder of the city in 1382, and he named it Saint Stefan. During the reign of his nephew Herzog Stefan, the city grew and developed, gaining a new name – The New Herzog – Herceg Novi.
The city represents a beautiful, exotic garden under the clear sky. Near the city, famous resort Igalo is located. Thanks to the healing properties of its water and mud, in the resort was founded Institute for Medical and Physical Rehabilitation for the treatment of rheumatic diseases.
In February, „Mimosas Festival“ is held in Herceg Novi, and it is visited by many tourists.

Biogradska gora – – Near the city Kolašin, national park Biogradska Gora is located. It is a part of the mountain Bjelasica, half of which is covered in woods (around 6425 acres).
Durmitor – jone of the earliest national parks, it was declared a park-reserve in 1952.

The canyon of the river Tara – it is 1300 meters high, which makes it one of the deepest canyons in Europe, and in the world. At 141 kilometer of the river, Tara merges with the river Piva, and together they form the zone of “The Great Canyons of Europe.“
Cetinje – At an altitude of 680 meters above sea level, at the brink of the mountain Lovćen, lays Cetinje. The first records of the city are found in 15th century, more precisely in the year 1440.
Podgorica – in 40 minutes you can get from Podgorica to the sea, as well as to the highest Montenegrin mountains.
Nikšić – developed as industrial city, as well as cultural, university and sports center. In its vicinity, there are monasteries Saint Luke and Ostrog, as well as the ski base.
