At an altitude of 680 meters above sea level, at the brink of the mountain Lovćen, lays Cetinje. The first records of the city are found in 15th century, more precisely in the year 1440. In the year 1842, under the Cross of Eagle, Ivan Crnojević built himself a castle, and then, two years later, the Cetinje Monastery, which laid foundations for the future capital of Montenegro.
The Ottoman Empire three times came close to the city but not once did they conquer it.
There is a castle called Billiard placed in the city square, which got its name thanks to the billiard where Njegoš, with great pleasure, played games with prominent guests from abroad.
There is also the palace of prince Njegoš, and the most beautiful building in Cetinje – the building of French embassy, which was built in 1910.
During the Petar II Petrović Njegoš reign, the first hotel in Montenegro was built – „Lokanda“, today it is called “The Grand Hotel.“
Skadar Lake – the biggest lake in the Balkans on which there are about 70 islands.
The surface of Skadar Lake ranges from 391 to 540 km², depending on the season and precipitation
Biogradska gora – – Near the city Kolašin, national park Biogradska Gora is located. It is a part of the mountain Bjelasica, half of which is covered in woods (around 6425 acres).
Durmitor – jone of the earliest national parks, it was declared a park-reserve in 1952.

The canyon of the river Tara – it is 1300 meters high, which makes it one of the deepest canyons in Europe, and in the world. At 141 kilometer of the river, Tara merges with the river Piva, and together they form the zone of “The Great Canyons of Europe.“

Podgorica – in 40 minutes you can get from Podgorica to the sea, as well as to the highest Montenegrin mountains.
Nikšić – developed as industrial city, as well as cultural, university and sports center. In its vicinity, there are monasteries Saint Luke and Ostrog, as well as the ski base.
